Kid Koala Space Cadet Tour: Headphone Experience

Last night I was lucky to get tickets to one of Kid Koalas sold out shows in Toronto ON. The crowd was an eclectic mix of individuals looking for great music and an experience, which they got. The evening started with a gallery show featuring interactive games and Kid Koala artwork. After moving into the inner sanctuary and chill room we were treated to the opening act of Terence Bernardo. He set the tone for a great night. 

I will say this, the room was a very chill environment. But if some bald guy in white robes came into the room with a tray full of Kool-Aid, I wouldn’t drink it. Kid Koala put on a great show that was fun, energetic and engaging. Kid Koala is a true story teller and you can tell Eric San (Kid Koala) enjoys what he does and the people he works with. Favorite points of the night were the sneak peak of a track from his new album, Skanky Panky and his Remix.. re-imagination of Moon River. I was fortunate to see him play Moon River years ago at the Sky Dome when Kid Koala opened for Radiohead, it was as great then as it was last night. 

The night was also unique because of the wireless headphone component. It worked and I wouldn’t mind seeing more shows like this. The Space Cadet Tour is a mixture of Artwork, Storytelling, Music and Audience fun. There was as much laughter throughout the night as their was applause for impeccably executed tracks and turntable skills. Looking forward to his return in June with Deltron3030.
